Identification: Winter - back marked with white spots and dark above waterline.
Summer - Grey head and dark red throat. Bill often pointed upwards. Winters along coasts.
Voice: Usually silent in winter
Food: Dives for fish and other aquatic animals
Size: Length 50-60cm Wingspan 1.06-1.16m
