Birds of Crete 27/05/2007 to 03/06/2007

Perhaps a  little bit late for the good birds (26th May-3rd June) but saw 74 species in total - based in Elounda and Kavros and travelling over much of the island. This was my 4th trip to Crete.

Giourgiopolis Lake: Swallow, Little Grebe + chicks, Coot, Moorhen, Sand Martin, Hooded Crow, Goldfinch, Cetti's Warbler, House Sparroe, Swift, Stonechat, Buzzard, Chaffinch, Yellow-legged Gull, Night Heron (x1), Greenfinch, Little Bittern (x1), Little Egret, Alpine Swift, Sardinian Warbler, Serin and Collared Dove - all observed over a few short stops over a few days from the viewpoint by the poster.
